Wild Nairobi Calling: National Park, Sheldrick & Giraffe Centre
6:00 AM – Pick-Up: Begin the day with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or agreed meeting point in Nairobi. Proceed to Nairobi National Park for an exciting wildlife experience.
6:30 AM – 9:30 AM – Nairobi National Park Game Drive: Enter Nairobi National Park and embark on a three-hour morning game drive. Explore the park in search of wildlife such as lions, rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. The early morning hours provide a great opportunity for wildlife viewing and photography as the animals are generally more active.
9:30 AM – 10:15 AM – Transfer to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: Exit Nairobi National Park and drive towards the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nairobi Nursery. The journey and check-in time are planned to ensure arrival before the scheduled elephant nursery session.
10:15 AM – 10:45 AM – Check-In: Arrive at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, complete the necessary check-in procedures, and prepare for the elephant experience.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Sheldrick Wildlife Trust: Enjoy the one-hour elephant nursery experience, where you can see rescued baby elephants being cared for, including their feeding and mud-bath routines. The visit also provides an opportunity to learn about elephant rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation.
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM – Transfer to Giraffe Centre: After the elephant experience, depart for the Giraffe Centre in Lang'ata. Enjoy a scenic drive through Nairobi as you proceed to the next wildlife attraction.
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM – Giraffe Centre: Spend approximately one hour at the Giraffe Centre, where you can get close to the endangered Rothschild's giraffes, learn about giraffe conservation, and enjoy an opportunity to feed them from the designated platform.
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM – Drop-Off: Conclude the half-day wildlife adventure with a transfer back to your hotel, residence, or preferred drop-off point, marking the end of an exciting Nairobi wildlife experience.
